Veterinary Nurse 2023-24 annual renewal process reminder

24 August 2023

The 2023-2024 annual renewal process for veterinary nurses will begin at the start of October and, ahead of that month, we are asking veterinary nurses to check their registration details.

In preparation for the annual renewal, we ask that all VNs please visit their RCVS My Account to ensure their contact details are up-to-date and keep an eye on their email inboxes for further instruction.

As with previous years, in order to remain on the Register of Veterinary Nurses, veterinary nurses must pay their annual renewal fee by 1 November (the start of their registration year).

Registration renewal consists of three stages:

  1. Ensuring contact details are up-to-date
  2. Completion of the disclosures: Declaration of any convictions, cautions and/or adverse findings (confirmation of CPD compliance is no longer required, as this is now automatically recorded via the 1CPD app)
  3. Payment of the annual renewal fee

Please note, all nurses will need to pay their renewal fees via their RCVS My Account unless they have an existing direct debit set up, or an existing agreement with their employer to cover the fee.

Nurses who do not complete their disclosures by 1 November will be sent fortnightly reminders to do so via email. Failure to complete the annual renewal free process by 31 December 2023 will result in removal from the Register.

If you have any queries about the annual renewal fee, please visit our Annual Renewal FAQ page.
