Biography

Harry Studied veterinary medicine at the University of Liverpool, qualifying in 1977. After graduation he worked for the two major animal charities in the UK (the PDSA and RSPCA) before starting his own small animal practice in Coventry. During this time Harry was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. After many years as a general practitioner Harry gained the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics) in 1999 and after stints working as an orthopaedic specialist surgeon in Australia and in Birmingham he worked as director and lead orthopaedic surgeon at a large multidisciplinary referral centre in Hampshire. During this time Harry became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and gained European Diplomas in Veterinary Neurology and Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Harry has published widely, including first authorship of both editions of Feline Orthopaedics (CRC Press) and a number of book chapters, and has been a regular presenter of continuing professional development for general practitioners.
