Dr Laura Perez Klein MRCVS
Biography
Laura graduated from Barcelona University in 2001, after a year as an intern in small animals at the same university, she moved to the UK to pursue a second internship at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket. She spent the following 3 years working as a locum vet and developing her passion in emergencies and critical care.
She went back to Barcelona University to work as an Associate Professor in the Intensive Care Unit at the veterinary teaching hospital.
During that time, she established her own Small Animal Practice in a little village near the sea, where she worked part-time as a small animal vet and as a director until she sold the practice in 2014.
She moved back to the UK in 2011 and continued her career in emergencies and critical care, working mainly nights while being a mum of two during the day. After 8 years of working nights full time, she decided to move back into the daylight and continued to work in small animal general practice.
She currently works as a Regional Clinical Lead providing clinical support, coaching, and mentoring to a group of practices within CVS.
She holds a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, and she is currently studying for the ILM5 in Coaching and Mentoring.
When not working, studying or being a mum, she is usually rehearsing for a ballet show, singing in a choir, or reading a book.
