VetGDP Practice or Workplace Declaration

Each practice or workplace wishing to employ a new veterinary graduate must make the VetGDP declaration to become an RCVS Approved Graduate Development Practice or Workplace. For the VetGDP a new graduate is defined as someone who has graduated since the 1st July 2021 and has not yet completed their VetGDP.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Please read and make sure you are familiar with our VetGDP information for practices and workplaces
  2. In order for a practice to make their VetGDP declaration, there must be a VetGDP Adviser, as detailed on our VetGDP information for Advisers page.
  3. The declaration should be made by the Appointed Senior Veterinary surgeon for the practice. This is generally the person responsible for the veterinary medicines on the premises.
  4. The declaration is made in the practice RCVS MyAccount. If you are having difficulty accessing the practice account please email [email protected]  quoting the practice postcode.
  5. Click on VetGDP in the blue top bar menu.
  6. Click on the blue link: 'declaration to become a VetGDP practice'
