Bethan Pinhey

RVN

Bethan qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2009 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing & Practice Management. She began her clinical career in London, working in a busy hospital practice while also locuming in both first opinion and referral settings, gaining a broad and valuable range of experience.

After relocating to Shropshire, Bethan transitioned into education—initially teaching at further education level before moving into higher education. Her passion for shaping the next generation of veterinary nurses led to her appointment in 2024 as Course Director for Northern Ireland’s first veterinary nursing degree at Ulster University. In this role, she leads curriculum development, student support, and academic delivery, championing high standards and inclusivity in veterinary education.

Bethan holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Nursing (Oncology) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
