Important reminder for Certificate and Diploma candidates 2003
12 February 2003
You were recently reminded that, as you have obtained final approval of your experience, you are now eligible to enter for the next examination to be held in 2003 if you wish.
You were advised of deadlines for entry to the examination and requirements for the submitted work.
Submitted work - word counts
Additional instructions published in RCVS News (November 2002) and sent to all Members are reiterated as follows:
"Candidates who exceed the maximum word limit in their submitted work will have their work returned unmarked and will be unable to proceed with the examination that year."
The Specialisation and Further Education Committee has also agreed that for the 2003 examinations and beyond, such candidates will be treated in the same way as a candidate who fails at this stage, i.e. they will receive a refund minus a handling charge of at least £50.
All submitted work must state a word count on the front cover.
You are also reminded that you are required to send your signed Declaration verifying that your Adviser has been approached, with your submitted work.
Regular updates on information relating to the examination arrangements will be published on the RCVS website.
