Trust and College staff strap on their trainers
22 October 2009
Thanks and congratulations to RCVS staff member Alexei Allei and RCVS Trust Director Cherry Bushell for braving a blustery October Sunday to take part in the Helly Hansen ‘Weavers Down Autumn Assault’ Challenge and Wimbledon Audi 10k respectively on 18 October.
Alexei and his two team mates completed a 1.5km kayak, 20km off road cycle and a 15km run (including an obstacle course!) in an impressive 3:33:42. The Trust is really grateful to Alexei and everyone who supported him at the College for raising £200 to date.
Cherry’s 10k took her from Wimbledon Rugby Club, round the village and across the famous Wimbledon common in just 63 mins and raising £300 in the process. She said “I also learnt new terms like ‘fartleking’ and new ways to prepare a banana breakfast. None of which I put into practice...”
