Removals from Register for non-payment
25 June 2013
Please note that this article is now archived and the list of veterinary surgeons removed is no longer available to download. The veterinary surgeons listed might have since paid their fees, been restored to the Register and permitted to resume veterinary practice. You are advised to check the RCVS Register to determine the current Register status of any RCVS member.
As the 31 May deadline for veterinary surgeon retention fee payments is now past, we have removed 369 veterinary surgeons from the Register.
A list of veterinary surgeons who were removed and who had not been restored by 24 June is now available.
This list is published to alert those vets who have not replied to our communications to check their Register status, and to remind veterinary employers to check the registration status of their employees.
The registration status of any vet or VN can be checked in the online Register.
Information about restoration, and an application form, can be found in the Registration section, or by contacting our Registration Department at [email protected].
For a veterinary surgeon to be restored, a restoration fee needs to be paid, as well as the annual retention fee. The restoration fee is at least £299, and multiplies each successive year a removed member remains off the Register.
A veterinary surgeon’s registration acts as a licence to practise and those removed from the Register may not practise unless and until they have been restored.
