RCVS Academy update - September 2025
Since the Academy Live webinar sessions were officially launched at the beginning of 2025, they have since proved a popular addition to its provision, with members of the professions keen to supplement their learning and meet their continuing professional development (CPD) goals.
As the first successful year draws to a close, the Academy has announced the final block of sessions, which will take place this autumn.
Academy Live sessions provide the opportunity to engage directly with subject matter experts, ask questions and share experiences with peers, making learning more relevant and impactful.
Each session complements existing and future Academy content, supporting veterinary professionals in meeting their CPD goals.
There are currently four Academy Live sessions open for registration:
- Introduction to VetGDP – Wednesday 8th October, 1pm to 2pm (for both new graduates embarking on VetGDP and VetGDP advisers)
- An introduction to managing mental health in the workplace – Monday 3rd November, 1pm to 2pm (for managers and leaders)
- 1CPD: Record & reflect – Wednesday 12th November, 1pm to 2pm (for all veterinary professionals)
- Tackling tutorials – Tuesday 9th December, 1pm to 2pm (for Clinical Supervisors mentoring student veterinary nurses)
RCVS Academy Live sessions are designed to be short, interactive, and highly engaging, offering plenty of opportunities for questions and lively discussions. Please note that these sessions will not be recorded, so we encourage you to attend live to make the most of the experience.
For on-demand learning on a wide range of topics, log into the Academy with your RCVS My Account details. Both Academy Live and online on demand Academy courses can be recorded on the 1CPD platform, contributing to the annual CPD requirement for veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses.
If you have any questions about the Academy or the new live sessions, please email the RCVS Academy Team on [email protected]
