This session is for Veterinary Surgeons and registered Veterinary Nurses.

New and existing Clinical Supervisors, those considering becoming a Clinical Supervisor, IQAs, college and university staff and SVNs 

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Recognise common challenges that students may face during their training.
• Apply effective communication techniques to help struggling students.
• Utilise tools and strategies to support students' learning and confidence.
• Identify when and how to escalate concerns.

Session speaker

Jasmine Curtis RVN, Sophie Geake RVN, and Tori Thornton RVN

Jasmine, Sophie and Tori are key members of the VN team at the RCVS, serving as Qualification Assessors. Collectively, they bring 48 years of experience as RVNs, with backgrounds in both small animal and equine practice. Prior to joining the RCVS, they have all worked in veterinary practice and education. Their primary responsibility is to uphold and maintain the standards of veterinary nursing education.
