Biography

Myles graduated as a vet from University College Dublin in 2013. After some time working in general practice, and as a visiting researcher at the University of Sydney, he completed a rotating internship at Cornell University in New York and a small animal internal medicine residency at the Royal Veterinary College. He received the diplomas of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2019, and the diploma of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine in 2025.

During his residency, he conducted his Masters research project on the diagnosis of canine pre-azotaemic chronic kidney disease. He also completed a Masters degree at the University of Edinburgh (2016), focusing on dogs as sentinels of Lyme borreliosis in humans.

After roles in academia and private referral practice in the UK, Ireland and Australia, Myles joined Zoetis in 2021. At Zoetis, he served as the director of the global clinical consultation service from 2021-2024, which involved developing and launching a novel telemedicine service, enabling veterinary professionals in 50+ countries to access clinical expertise from board-certified veterinary specialists. He is currently the international director of internal medicine and preventives on the Zoetis Global Medicine Affairs team.

Myles has published and lectured widely on the subjects of internal medicine and preventive medicine, and is passionate about the international dissemination of knowledge.
