Biography

Chris is an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Cardiology with expertise in both medical and interventional cardiology.

He graduated with Honours from the University of Liverpool in 2007, where he later completed his internship, residency, and was appointed Lecturer in Cardiology. He is also the first veterinary cardiology specialist to earn a Master’s in Human Interventional Cardiology.

Through his career, Chris has developed some of the UK’s busiest interventional cardiology services.

He is passionate about congenital heart disease, cardiac ultrasound, managing heart disease and building strong bonds with patients and owners.

Widely regarded for his experience across the UK and Europe, Chris is also active in global education and lectures internationally.

He collaborates with Animals Asia in China to support moon bear welfare and continues to champion cardiology education and innovation across the veterinary profession.

Chris is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and shaping the next generation of specialists, and was awarded Fellowship of the RCVS for Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice in 2025.
