Join our free CPD ‘Work, mental health and mood’ webinar
This March, our Mind Matters Initiative is running a free CPD ‘Work, mental health and mood’ webinar as part of its Applied Mental Health Science series.
- Date Published:
Taking place on Monday 30 March from 6.30pm to 7.45pm, the webinar will explore a range of mood disorders such as depression, bipolar, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), their impact on mental health, wellbeing and performance, and how they can be managed on an individual level as well as in team-based settings.
Speakers include Clinical Psychologist Dr Marco Vivolo, veterinary mental health researcher James Glass MRCVS, and wellbeing instructor Emma Sadler RVN.
The webinar coincides with World Bipolar Day, during which MMI will also launch its new ‘Let’s talk bipolar’ guide, the latest of its Applied Mental Health Science series of publications, along with a collection of lived experience insight blogs produced in collaboration with some of the webinar panellists.
Mind Matters Lead, Rapinder Newton, said: “Launched last year, our Applied Mental Health Science series aims to make high quality, practical mental health information more accessible for the veterinary professions.
“Our digital guides have been really well received, and we wanted to find a way to bring the content further to life - bridging the gap between lived experience, factual evidence, and the veterinary workplace.”
The webinar aims to teach delegates how to recognise a range of mood/affective disorders and their impact in the workplace, support those in the veterinary team experiencing these conditions, reduce stigma, challenge discrimination, and signpost individuals to appropriate sources of help and support.
This webinar counts as free CPD, so, after attending, be sure to record and reflect on the 1CPD app.
