Final opportunity to join our managing mental health in the workplace workshop
We’re looking for current and aspiring veterinary managers and leaders to join us for our upcoming ‘Managing mental health in the workplace for everyday veterinary leaders’ workshop, taking place at our offices in London on Friday 19 June 2026.
- Date Published:
This in-person introductory session aims to embed key concepts from the online ‘Managing mental health in the workplace’ RCVS Academy course – bringing them to life through discussion, self-reflection, and practical exercises.
Having previously delivered two online sessions, this will be our only in-person event - and your final opportunity to secure a place.
Mind Matters Initiative Lead, Rapinder Newton (pictured), said: “Managers often find themselves in leadership roles with very little training. This training course focuses on those foundational skills and has proven to be really popular with those who have attended it so far. It has helped delegates to not only recognise early signs of stress, burnout and poor mental health in themselves and others, but to practically put skills into action by practising key communication and conversation skills, all within a safe and supportive learning environment.
“As a veterinary manager or leader, it can be hard to know how to have these difficult conversations. This session aims to help you to support your team in the best way that you can, using evidence-based techniques.
“Whether you’re a practice manager, veterinary nurse, veterinary surgeon, or HR professional working in the veterinary sector, this session is open to all current and aspiring veterinary managers and leaders. It’s not limited to vets and nurses, so please do share it widely within your teams.”
Join the session
Tickets for the ‘Managing mental health in the veterinary workplace for everyday leaders’ workshop cost £120 per person with lunch and refreshments included. The event will take place from 10am to 3.30pm.
