Sean Wensley is Senior Veterinary Surgeon for Animal Welfare and Professional Engagement at the UK veterinary charity, PDSA (the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals).

He qualified from Liverpool University (UK) and holds a Master's Degree from Edinburgh University (UK) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare.

Sean has contributed to animal welfare and conservation projects on five continents. He is an Honorary Lecturer in Animal Welfare at the University of Nottingham (UK) and at Queen’s University Belfast (UK). He was a founder Director of Vet Sustain.

Sean chaired the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) Animal Welfare Working Group and was President of the British Veterinary Association (BVA) from 2015 - 2016.

His book 'Through A Vet's Eyes' was one of the Financial Times' Best Summer Books.
