Colette graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1996 and spent four years working in a busy small animal hospital practice in Hampshire.
Following two years working in industry, where she developed interests in anaesthesia and ethics, Colette joined the Animal Health Trust (AHT) for a residency in anaesthesia, and gained the European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2006. She is an RCVS Recognised Specialist and a European Specialist.
After her residency Colette remained at the AHT and was Head of Anaesthesia from 2010 to 2020. She founded and chaired the AHT Clinical Research Ethics Committee which gave ethical approval to many clinical research studies undertaken at the AHT and elsewhere.
Colette enjoys mentoring and teaching and has supervised several ECVAA residents as well as continuing to lecture on various aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia. She currently works as part of the anaesthesia team in a private referral practice in Hampshire.
