Helene Seljenes Dalum

Helene is a veterinarian and a researcher with a PhD in occupational health among veterinarians. She graduated as a veterinarian in 2010 and has been working in both clinical practice and in public administration. In 2023, she defended her thesis at the University of Oslo with the NORVET study; a nationwide survey investigating suicidal thoughts, help-seeking for mental health problems and euthanasia of animals and its association with suicidal thoughts.

Helene is currently working as a full-time researcher at the Institute for Studies of The Medical Profession, which investigates occupational health among physicians and other health-care personnel. She is also a teacher at the Norwegian Veterinary School in occupational health and is also facilitating courses aimed to prevent burnout among veterinarians at Villa Sana, Modum Bad.
