Most of his career has been in the Army. Highlights include serving as Director Army Veterinary and Remount Services, Queen’s Honorary Veterinary Surgeon, and in a range of clinical, staff and command appointments.

Regular military service was followed by nearly four years in the Civil Service. Since 2023, I have been employed as Veterinary Director and Military Adviser at Cresilon Inc, a US company that produces haemostatic hydrogels for veterinary and human use.
In April 2025, my wife and I opened a new practice in Trafford, Greater Manchester – The Exotic Animal Vets.
