Helen Grantham
Biography
Helen is a solicitor and spent her executive career in leadership roles in the private sector, as General Counsel and Group Secretary of large, complex listed companies and, latterly, at the Co-op Group. Most of her career was spent in consumer-facing organisations going through periods of major transformation and having executive responsibility for legal, compliance, governance, risk, audit and corporate affairs functions. She has significant experience of organisations going through regulatory and governance change and has been the executive lead on several competition authority investigations.
Helen is a Council member at the University of Leeds, where she chairs its remuneration committee and is a trustee of its pension scheme. She is a Non-Executive Director at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she chairs the Resources Committee. She is also a Lay Council Member at the Health and Care Professions Council, which is the statutory regulator for 15 health and care professions in the UK, and sits as one of the chairs of its registration appeal panels.
