Zara graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010 and initially remained in the city working in small animal practice. She later moved into emergency and critical care (ECC), where she thrived in an environment that enabled her to support owners during challenging times while continually stretching her professional comfort zone.
Zara has continued her career in ECC and has completed a Master’s degree in Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors. She has a particular interest in understanding the human factors that influence everyday clinical practice, the systems in which veterinary teams operate, and how these impact patient outcomes.
