The CEG was formed in March 2025, building on work previously undertaken to review aspects of Council’s role regarding the code of conduct and reflective conversations. Its remit is to look at Council members’ collective skills and experience, which promotes working together to deliver best practice and be ready to manage change.
The CEG continues to focus on reviewing both the collective and individual skills of Council members, and methods of gathering feedback to assess effectiveness. Its current work is looking at ways to enhance the nomination process for those who wish to join Council, and ensuring there is an annual cycle of training to enhance Council members’ skills.
