She has been a member of committees for RCVS Surgery Certificate and ECVS Surgery Diploma exams, and has greatly enjoyed teaching post-graduate surgical skills to both residents and general practitioners for many years. Her return to academia in 2023 has revived her enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching, especially helping students develop skills to manage challenging situations.
Prue has a particular interest and expertise in Surgical Oncology, but enjoys all aspects of surgery and critical care. Over the last decade, Prue has developed a growing interest in how positive workplace cultures and our approach to error management can improve treatment outcomes as well as enhancing colleagues mental health, and her combined experience of both private and academic referral practice have allowed her to continue developing skills in this fascinating area.
