Amanda completed a BSc at the University of Sydney before then graduating from the University of Queensland with a BVSc. She worked in general practice completing a certification in veterinary acupuncture and became accredited in inspection of companion animals for export.
Amanda completed a Masters in Clinical Practice and became a member of the ANZCVSC.
After working in emergency practice, Amanda then completed a medicine residency at Murdoch University and was awarded a research Masters of Veterinary Internal Medicine and became a Diplomat of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
Amanda is Head of Medicine at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists and mentors and supervises interns and residents in ACVIM and ECVIM residency programmes. She sees cases in all areas of internal medicine with particular interest in infectious disease and respiratory medicine. She has a passion for care of working and assistance dogs and their vital role for the community.
