Biography
Jon Wray graduated from the University of Bristol in 1996 and after two years of mixed general practice and returned to Bristol to complete a 3-year Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
Following this, Jon developed the internal medicine referral service at Willows Referral Service before moving to the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket to found canine internal medicine referrals and subsequently becoming Head of Service for Internal Medicine.
Jon then returned to University of Bristol as Clinical Fellow in Cardiorespiratory Medicine before joining Dick White Referrals in 2008, where he is presently Head of Cardiology and a consultant Specialist in Small Animal Medicine - dividing his caseload between cardiology, internal medicine and interventional radiology / interventional cardiology.
Jon has worked as a Specialist Clinician in private referral practice for the last 18 years with principal clinical interests in congenital heart disease, interventional radiology, endoscopy, vascular diseases and respiratory medicine.
He is author of the book 'Canine Internal Medicine: what's your diagnosis?' and chapter author for several veterinary texts.
Jon is an RCVS Diplomate and Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine (Internal Medicine) and Fellow of the RCVS and Royal Society of Biology. He has been Chief Examiner for the RCVS CertSAM and DSAM and the CertAVP (Medicine) as well as serving on the RCVS Small Animal Medicine Board and BSAVA Scientific Committee.
