Biography
Jamie is an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery at Abington Park Referrals in Northampton, with particular interest in management of osteoarthritis and musculotendinous injuries, and in biomaterials/implants. He holds an MSc in Musculoskeletal Science at UCL/Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, with a thesis on Intraosseous Transcutaneous Amputation Protheses (iTAP), and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Biology.
Jamie is the chair of the IVC Referrals Board, and a member of the X-pertise International Scientific Board in Osteoarthritis Management and the VoA Advisory Panel. He also volunteers as a STEM ambassador.
His particukar professional interest is in career planning for vets, and translation of research into practical and evidence-based clinical advice.
At home, he enjoys fencing and art, and has four children and a whippet.
