Simon Williams
Biography
Simon began his veterinary nursing career in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in 2010 as a veterinary technician. His first job was in the veterinary hospital at the Defence Animal Training Regiment, a busy equine and canine practice where he gained much of his early experience.
The early years of Simon’s military career were spent in deployable units caring for around 120 military working dogs, which provided a strong foundation in emergency and trauma care. He then spent the middle part of his career in equine practice in London, managing approximately 310 military horses. In the latter part of his military service, he held managerial roles across the military veterinary sphere, specialising in equipment and infrastructure management as well as animal welfare governance.
Simon left the military in February 2024. He is currently employed by Nupsala UK, a veterinary wholesale company.
