Biography
Filippo is the head of the Surgical Department at the Ospedale Veterinario I Portoni Rossi-Anicura in Bologna. Filippo graduated from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2009. In 2014 he successfully gained a PhD in Veterinary Science (Surgery) at the University of Bologna, and in 2018 he achieved the Certificate in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery. Filippo completed a three-year European College of Veterinary Surgeons approved residency program in small animal surgery and in 2020 he received the European Diploma in Small Animal Surgery. He worked at Eastcott Referral Veterinary Hospital (UK) for three years and in 2021 he come back to Italy. In 2025 Filippo gained a Master in Veterinary Oncology at the University of Padova. He is a member of ECVS Small Animal Credentials Committee Board. Filippo is chief-author and co-author of surgical books and several scientific papers. Filippo has specific interest in soft tissue surgery, minimally invasive surgery and neurosurgery.
