How to complete your RCVS specialist application

All applicants – European Diplomates, non-European new applicants and non-European reapplicants – apply through My Account. The steps you follow are the same, but the sections you complete and the evidence you upload will differ depending on your route.

All applicants

  1. Log in to My Account: Go to the RCVS website and sign in using your username and password.
  2. Select “Specialist applications”: You’ll see a link on your dashboard to start a new application or continue an application you’ve saved.
  3. Choose your application type: Select one of the following:
    1. European Diplomate application
    2. Non-European new application
    3. Non-European reapplication

    3. Publication list
    4. Evidence of activity
    5. Translations (if applicable)
  6. Provide access to your 1CPD record: All applicants must allow assessors to view their CPD from the past five calendar years. You can do this in My Account by selecting “Share CPD” when prompted.
  7. Review your application: Before submitting, check:
    1. All sections are complete
    2. Evidence is uploaded and legible
    3. Your self-assessment (if required) matches your evidence
    4. No items are duplicated in multiple sections
  8. Submit your application and pay the fee: You’ll be prompted to pay online. Your application is not considered submitted until the payment is received.
  9. Receive confirmation: You’ll receive an email confirming that your application has been submitted. You can track its status in MyRCVS.
