Enrolling as a student veterinary nurse
In order to train as a veterinary nurse, you first need to have a place at a college on a course leading to an RCVS-accredited veterinary nursing qualification.
Once you have obtained a place at a college and been registered with the awarding organisation or university, you will need to enrol as a veterinary nurse student with us.
Reasonable adjustments for students
Reasonable adjustments are changes that help students or employees with disabilities overcome disadvantages. Vet nurse education providers are required to provide these adjustments to support students with disabilities.
The RCVS has created guidance which explains the key principles of reasonable adjustments, gives examples, and includes a summary for students of the essential things you need to know.
Approved Training Practices
Approved Training Practices offer the clinical training and work experience essential to qualification as a veterinary nurse.
