Welcome to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

How to register

This section includes information about how to register, for the different groups that are eligible for RCVS registration, both for veterinary nurses and veterinary surgeons.

To find out how you register, select the category you belong to from the list on the left hand side.

In order to register you will need to pay a registration fee and supply all the requested documents.

Please note, as of Wednesday 27 April 2016 the RCVS introduced the screening of all identity documents. This is for security purposes only and not for immigration purposes. We also have a duty to inform you that any issues following screening are automatically reported to the Home Office and to the Police; we will also provide you with a full explanation as to what the issue is. If you have any concerns at all about this then please contact the Registration Department who will be able to offer you guidance and assistance.

The fee amount for veterinary surgeons is dependent on the time of registering. You will need to attend a registration appointment in person, unless you are a UK graduate attending a ceremony at your university.

The Guide for New Members is a useful document to read and can be downloaded from the 'Related documents' box.
