Delve deeper into the RCVS

2 April 2011

For any veterinary surgeons or veterinary nurses who have wondered what goes on at the RCVS – this is your chance to look behind the scenes.

I just wanted to thank you and the team for taking us round the College last week. It was a pleasure, and I found it both useful and inspiring.

Do you want to know how your retention fee is used? Would you like a better understanding of the complaints process? Are you interested in areas of current College activity that might affect your day-to-day practice?

Join us for Meet the RCVS Day on Friday 15 April to gain a deeper understanding of how we regulate the veterinary and veteinrary nursing professions.

Guests will be part of a small group who will spend the day with RCVS President Peter Jinman, meeting members of the Officer team and senior staff, and visiting College departments.

Cahir King, from County Down, came to a Meet the RCVS Day in January, after he was told about it by a colleague. Following his visit, he was inspired to consider continuing his postgraduate study.

“I just wanted to thank you and the team for taking us round the College last week. It was a pleasure, and I found it both useful and inspiring. I may even restart my certificate as a result!” he said.

The day starts at 10.30am and will finish at approximately 3.30pm, with time to chat one-to-one with the Officers, staff and other guests over lunch.

For further details, and to book a place at the meeting on 15 April, please contact Fiona Harcourt on [email protected] or 020 7202 0773.
