Biography

Chris WarmanChris Warman graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in Biology in 1979.

Following a number of roles with a focus on training and development, she joined the National Council for Vocational Qualifications (NCVQ) in the early 1990s and worked in advisory and management roles supporting the development and accreditation of competence-based qualifications.

She further developed her experience of qualifications regulation working for the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and Ofqual, and studied for a Masters’ degree in Organisational Behaviour at Birkbeck College, London. In 2000, she established her own consultancy business and spent the next 13 years working as a freelance consultant on a variety of education-related projects.  

She joined RCVS as Head of Education in 2013. The Education team works with the Education Committee and its sub-committees on the development of policy and implementation of day-to-day operations in relation to the accreditation of veterinary degrees, the Statutory Membership Examination, the Professional Development Phase, CPD Policy and audit, the Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP), Advanced Practitioner and Specialist status and the RCVS Fellowship.
