Susan Dawson



Susan Dawson

Following several years in practice Susan studied for a PhD in feline virology at the University of Liverpool. She gained her PhD in 1992 and since then has remained at Liverpool, currently as Professor and Head of School.

Susan has worked in the area of infectious disease for over twenty years and her current interests focus on zoonotic infections and public health. Current projects include antibacterial resistance, antibacterial use, leptospirosis, gastroenteric pathogens, disease surveillance and public health aspects of pet ownership.

As well as teaching infectious diseases Susan is a trained facilitator for communication studies.
