Martin Peaty Martin Peaty graduated from the University of Bristol in 1990. He worked in mixed practice in Devon from 1990-92, in equine and farm practice in Surrey from 1992-94 and then moved into equine practice in Dorset where he has remained ever since.

Martin obtained his Certificate in Equine Practice in 1999, his Certificate in Equine Surgery (Orthopaedics) in 2007 and became an Advanced Practitioner in Equine Practice and Equine Surgery in 2015. 

He was an examiner for the RCVS Certificate in Equine Practice from 2004 to 2009, Chief Examiner in 2009 and served on the RCVS Equine Board. Martin has also been involved in mentoring new graduates in his practice.

He has developed an interest in professional conduct matters and has acted as an expert witness on three occasions for the RCVS and once for the Veterinary Council of Ireland.

Martin is the Senior Vet at Salisbury Racecourse and also covers several point to point meetings. He is currently training a home bred steeple chaser and has held riders qualification certificates and amateur jockey permits.

He takes a keen interest in farming and runs a small sheep flock with his wife who is a farm vet. He likes to ski with friends and family.
