Caroline Allen

Biography

Since graduating from Cambridge University in 1998 Caroline has enjoyed a varied career in practice.

Caroline's first job was in a mixed practice in Norfolk at the Old Golfhouse. Having developed an interest in small animal medicine she moved to Goddard's Wanstead Veterinary Hospital where she gained the Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.

Caroline then spent a year travelling and performing some overseas voluntary neutering work followed by a period of locuming. She then moved to North London joining Canonbury Vets as Head Vet. Over ten years the practice grew to a three centre group and Caroline became Clinical Director, overseeing all clinical aspects and focussing on high quality care and a strong preventative element.  Caroline also led the group's work with Cat's Protection North London Adoption Centre and gained a strong interest in charity/shelter work.

For the last two years Caroline has been London Veterinary Director for the RSPCA, a new role which oversees the RSPCA's two London hospitals and two clinics. She has a strong interest in pragmatic medicine.

Caroline has been involved in community and environmental campaigning, winning a Clean Air in London Award in 2013.
