Mr Andrew Ash MRCVS
Biography
Andrew qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1983 and, after a year as houseman, moved to a mixed practice in Hampshire before settling in Brighton with Grove Lodge Veterinary Group.
He completed his Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 1998 and an MBA with the Open University in 2003.
He has been a BSAVA volunteer for 20 years in a number of roles including Congress Chairman from 2007-10 and President between 2011-12. He was Chairman of SAVSNET from 2012-14, BSAVA FECAVA Director 2012-13 and UEVP representative 2012-present.
He was owner and managing director of Grove Lodge Veterinary Group (a 26-vet hospital based first opinion and referral companion animal practice in Sussex) from 1987 until June 2016. He is currently a Group Veterinary Advisor with Independent Vetcare Ltd and a veterinary lead for acquisitions in the UK and Ireland. He is Chief Veterinary Advisor for Pawsquad.
Andrew has been a PIC member since 2013 and Chair of the Committee from 2015 to 2019.
Andrew is married to Kate with two grown-up children, Josh and Jenna. When not working he enjoys being outside, either in the garden or walking, golfing or fishing.
