Mr Ian Arundale


RCVS Disciplinary Committee Member, Ian Arundale

Ian Arundale is a self-employed Law Enforcement and Security Consultant. He was a police officer for 32 years serving in South Wales, West Mercia and Dyfed-Powys Police Forces rising to the rank of Chief Constable. Ian was the UK lead on behalf of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) for 'Armed Policing' policy and practice and chaired the UK 'Conflict Management' portfolio. He works internationally and has recently assisted police forces and organisations in the USA and New Zealand.

Ian holds a diploma in Applied Criminology from Cambridge University, an MSc (Econ) degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Cardiff University and a BA (Hons) degree in Police Studies. Ian is a Fulbright Fellow and a graduate of the Prime Ministers 'Top Management' programme.

In addition to his work with the RCVS, Ian is also a member of the Audit Committee of the City of Cardiff Council and is a board member of the International Law Enforcement Forum (ILEF).
