How to apply
Summary
The application process is made up of 3 steps:
- Submitting a registration form, accompanied by all required documents
- Paying your registration fee
- Booking an appointment (Due to COVID-19 we are currently carrying video appointments)
Notes
Once we have received your application to register, we will email you within 3 days to confirm the following:
- that we have received your application and are processing it
- how you can pay your registration fee
To avoid any delay to when you can start work, we recommend that you apply to register and book your registration appointment as soon as possible.
If there is a problem with your application, we will aim to notify you within 7 days of receiving your documents.
1. Registration form
Collect all the required documents for submission, relevant to your country of qualification. Please make sure that you comply with the eligibility criteria.
Complete the registration form.

- Please email your documents to us at registration@rcvs.org.uk
- If you do not hear from us within 3 working days, please contact us again.
- If your documents are larger than 15MB, please use the free file-sharing website WeTransfer to send them.
2. Pay your fee
Once you have submitted your application to register, one of our Registration Officers will contact you within 3 working days to provide you with a username.
You can use this username to open your new account on our website and pay your registration fee online.
3. Your appointment
Due to COVID 19 we are currently carrying out video appointments via Microsoft Teams. We will send you an invitation, you will need to ensure you have downloaded the Microsoft Teams App ahead of the appointment.
If we have not received your fee payment or any additional documents at least 5 days before your appointment date, you will need to re-arrange your appointment for a later date.
On the day of your video appointment, please have ready for presenting:
- the originals of all the documents you submitted in your application (as listed above)
- your passport

NB We can only view original documents and not certified copies.
If you are unable to present the correct original documents at your appointment, you will not be able to register and you may need to attend a second appointment.
