How to apply


The application process is made up of 3 steps:

  1. Submitting a registration form, accompanied by all required documents
  2. Paying your registration fee
  3. Booking an appointment at our offices in London

Once we have received your application to register, we will email you within 3 days to confirm the following:

  • that we have received your application and are processing it
  • your appointment date (so you can make travel arrangements), and
  • how you can pay your registration fee
The registration application process takes 20 days once we have received your application and all supporting documents in the correct format. However, in busy periods, it can take up to 6 weeks to wait for an available appointment.

To avoid any delay to when you can start work, we recommend that you apply to register and book your registration appointment as soon as possible.

If there is a problem with your application, we will aim to notify you within 7 days of receiving your documents.


1. Registration form

Collect all the required documents for submission, relevant to your country of qualificationPlease make sure that you comply with the eligibility criteria.

Complete the registration form, including the date of your preferred registration appointment. 

  • Please email your documents to us at 
  • If you do not hear from us within 3 working days, please contact us again.
  • If your documents are larger than 15MB, please use the free file-sharing website WeTransfer to send them.


2. Pay your fee

Once you have submitted your application to register, one of our Registration Officers will contact you within 3 working days to provide you with a username.

You can use this username to open your new account on our website and pay your registration fee online.


3. Book an appointment

To enable you to start making any travel arrangements, we will confirm your appointment date within 3 days of receiving your application.

However, if we have not received your fee payment or any additional documents at least 5 days before your appointment date, you will need to re-arrange your appointment for a later date.

On the day of your appointment, please bring:

  • the originals of all the documents you submitted in your application (as listed above)
  • your passport

NB We can only accept original documents and not certified copies.

If you are unable to present the correct original documents at your appointment, you will not be able to register and you may need to attend a second appointment.
