RCVS Day 2005 - book your tickets

Members are invited to contact the RCVS to obtain their free tickets for RCVS Day on Friday 8 July 2005, to be held at Church House, Deans Yard, Westminster, London.

The programme will be as follows:

10.00am:         AGM and Presentation of Awards, to be followed by:

Lecture entitled: "The evolutionary spectacular of maternal recognition and maintenance of pregnancy across the species" (or "Magic Moments in Mammalian Pregnancy") by Professor "Twink" Allen CBE ScD FRCVS, followed by a Question and Answer Session.

12.30pm:         Buffet Lunch

For those arriving early, coffee will be available from 9.30am.

Professor Allen is currently the Jim Joel Professor of Equine Reproduction at the University of Cambridge Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine and Honorary Director of the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Equine Fertility Unit - a specialised veterinary research group based near Newmarket that undertakes basic and applied research into mare and stallion fertility. His principal research interests include fertility, infertility, pregnancy and reproduction in equids, dromedary camels and elephants.
