Biography

Dai Grove-White qualified in 1975 from Liverpool.

After a period working overseas in the Middle East and Africa he returned to mixed/farm animal practice in Bala, Wales.

He was awarded FRCVS in 1997 by thesis for work on acid base balance and fluid therapy in calves.

In 2000 he returned to Liverpool as a Lecturer in Farm Animal studies where her remained until retirement in 2019, latterly as Head of Department of Livestock Health and Welfare.

He completed an MSc in Epidemiology in 2005 and a PhD in molecular epidemiology of Campylobacter in ruminants in 2008.

His research interests include calf health, lameness in sheep, equine obesity and epidemiology of infectious diseases.

Since retirement he has become involved with mentoring and support to IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School, Somaliland.

He remains an honorary senior lecturer at Liverpool.
