Bluetongue certification article - a correction

We would like to correct an article concerning DEFRA’s Bluetongue vaccination plan, published on page 6 of the June edition of RCVS News, which stated:

Excellent results in veterinary nursing summer exams

The newly-released results for the summer veterinary nursing written examinations are excellent. Of the 1,200 plus candidates who took the examinations, 91% of the level 2 candidates and 94% of the level 3 candidates passed the papers.

This publication is required by the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and represents a key reference work for the veterinary profession in the UK. A must for any organisation seeking to target specific veterinary audiences, the Directory lists veterinary practices by regions and indicates the practices' main areas of activity and whether there are any specialisms within the practices.

RCVS Annual Report 2007

The RCVS Annual Report provides an overview of the College's activities and fully audited accounts during the year under review. It also contains key statistics on the numbers and distribution of the veterinary profession. This report is available to order free of charge and/or may be ordered below.

RCVS Veterinary Nursing News has been discontinued. The last issue was August 2007.
