Welcome to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

Good professional standing

When you have passed the statutory membership examination, you will be able to register as a member of RCVS, provided that the RCVS registration department has received and approved a letter or certificate and/or other documents attesting to your good standing.

You must provide RCVS with up-to-date evidence of your good standing each time you apply to sit our examination.

As evidence of good standing we accept only original, signed letters/certificates/other documents that are dated on or after 1 October in the year which precedes your exam year.

If you have any queries about how to meet our requirement, please complete a veterinary registration details form which you’ll find in the related documents box here http://www.rcvs.org.uk/registration/statutory-membership-exam/rcvs-requirements-for-intention-to-sit-and-seeing-practice-forms/.  Please send us your completed form as an email attachment to rcvsexam@rcvs.org.uk.
