Country-specific requirements for applicants from Slovenia wishing to register as a veterinary surgeon in the UK

Along with your application, please also ensure you supply;     

  • a photocopy of your State Examination Certificate with a certified English translation where necessary.

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, before 1 May 2004

If you have a Diploma that was awarded before 1 May 2004, you will need to additionally provide ONE of the following, either:    

 

    • a photocopy of your Certificate of Compliance from the competent authority certifying that your veterinary qualification is in compliance with the minimum training requirements, and a certified English translation where necessary. Please see Article 38 of Directive 2005/36/EC for more information;

or

    • a photocopy of your Certificate of Acquired Rights from the competent authority certifying that you have effectively and lawfully been engaged in the activities in question for at least three consecutive years during the five years prior to the date of issue of the certificate, with a certified English translation where necessary.

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, before 25 June 1991

If you graduated or started your training in the former Yugoslavia before 25 June 1991, please contact the RCVS Registration Department, as you may need to provide additional information in accordance with Article 23 of Directive 2005/36/EC.
