Country-specific requirements for applicants from Estonia wishing to register as a veterinary surgeon in the UK

Along with your application, you may need to supply additional documents as outlined below;  

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, before 1 May 2004

If you have a Diploma that was awarded before 1 May 2004, or your training began before this date, you will need to additionally provide a photocopy of a Certificate of Acquired Rights from the competent authority certifying that you have effectively and lawfully been engaged in the activities in question in Estonia for at least five consecutive years during the seven years prior to the date of issue, with a certified English translation where necessary.

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, after 1 May 2004

If you have a Diploma that was awarded after 1 May 2004, you will need to additionally provide ONE of the following, either:

 

    • a photocopy of a Certificate of Acquired Rights from the competent authority certifying you have effectively and lawfully been engaged in the activity in question in Estonia for at least three consecutive years during the five years prior to the date of issue of the certificate;

or

    • a photocopy of a Certificate of Compliance from the competent authority certifying that your veterinary qualification is in compliance with the minimum training requirements, and a certified English translation where necessary. Please refer to Article 38 of Directive 2005/36/EC for more information.

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, before 20 August 1991

If you graduated or started your training in the former Soviet Union before 20 August 1991, please a member of the Registration Department on 020 7202 0707 or registration@rcvs.org.uk, as you may need to provide additional information in accordance with Article 23 of Directive 2005/36/EC.
