Country-specific requirements for applicants from the Czech Republic wishing to register as a veterinary surgeon in the UK

Along with your application, you may need to supply additional documents as outlined below;  

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, before 1 May 2004

If you have a Diploma that was awarded before 1 May 2004, you will need to additionally provide ONE of the following, either;    

    • a photocopy of your Certificate of Compliance from the competent authority certifying that your veterinary qualification is in compliance with the minimum training requirements, and a certified English translation where necessary. Please see Article 38 of Directive 2005/36/EC for more information;

or

    • a photocopy of your Certificate of Acquired Rights from the competent authority certifying that you have effectively and lawfully been engaged in the activities in question for at least three consecutive years during the five years prior to the date of issue of the certificate, with a certified English translation where necessary.

 

Qualification awarded, or training commenced, before 1 January 1993

If you graduated or started your training in the former Czechoslovakia before 1 January 1993, please contact a member of the Registration Department on 020 7202 0707 or registration@rcvs.org.uk, as you may need to provide additional information in accordance with Article 23 of Directive 2005/36/EC.
