Sally qualified from Liverpool in 1985 and other than a short period in industry has worked in mainly small animal practice in the north of England, including shelter work and some locum work for a dedicated out-of-hours provider.
She currently runs a feline home visiting service for a local practice, originally setting it up as a standalone mobile practice in 2012. She found joining the Practice Standards Scheme invaluable to the setting up of a new venture and is keen that all practices, however small, be encouraged to join.
In addition to feline friendly practice Sally is interested in feline behaviour and care of the elderly cat, along with practice management, having recently completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Business Management with the University of Liverpool.
She lives on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and is married to a farm vet. She enjoys trying to be mother hen to their five grown up sons, reading, entertaining family and friends and walking their three dogs, in a never-ending attempt to keep fit.
