New Annual Report and latest RCVS News now available

8 June 2004

The new RCVS Annual Report is being posted to members this week, along with the latest edition of RCVS News.

RCVS News (June 2004) contains news from the Council meeting on 3 June, including the launch of a consultation on the provision of 24-hour cover, the proposed new retention fees and an update on the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme.

There is also advice and guidance on issues including horse passports, digital certificates, microchipping and pet insurance; reports from the Preliminary Investigation Committee's chairman and lay obervers and of two disciplinary hearings; updates and notices on further education and CPD; a report of the VN Manpower survey; and, news from the RCVS Trust.

Meanwhile, this year's RCVS Annual Report has undergone a thorough overhaul. It is hoped that readers will find the new format much more attractive and easier to read, providing a better overview of the College's activities and achievements over the twelve months under review.

For the first time, and in view of the fundamental changes currently facing the profession, the report also contains a section that describes how the RCVS is preparing for the future.

Both publications are now available to download - the Annual Report may be downloaded as a whole, or in sections. Further copies may be requested from the External Affairs Department on 020 7202 0727.
