Cold calls being made to veterinary practices

12 July 2017

In the past few weeks we have been informed of a number of calls to veterinary practices from someone calling themselves Lauren claiming that they work for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, that there has been a loss of data at the College and that they need the practice’s information in order to re-build the database. Please note this is false and not a genuine call.

We would ask that any practices that receive this call inform us at the earliest opportunity. The College would never ask for practice, personal or other details (including bank details) over the phone and our information is securely backed up to prevent any data loss.

If you receive a call of this nature please contact Corrie McCann, our Director of Operations, on [email protected] or 020 7202 0724.

If you receive a suspicious or unexpected call, always verify the caller using an independently checked phone number such as on our Contact us page.
