RCVS Question Time goes virtual
On Wednesday 24 April we will be holding our first ever RCVS Virtual Question Time meeting, meaning veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses can ‘attend’ the meeting without leaving the comfort of their own homes.

Disciplinary Committee dismisses case against Stourbridge vet
The RCVS Disciplinary Committee yesterday [11 April 2013] dismissed a case against a veterinary surgeon said to have been dishonest in claims made against insurance following a dog’s veterinary treatment.

RVPP fees to drop by 15%
We’re pleased to announce that the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) has agreed to our request for a 15 per cent reduction in the joining/re-registration fee for the inclusion of practice premises on the Register of Veterinary Practice Premises (RVPP), which we hold on the VMD’s behalf.

Independent Disciplinary Committees – Veterinary Surgeons Act amended
On Saturday 6 April, the Legislative Reform Order (LRO) to reconstitute the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) disciplinary committees separately from its Council came into force and has amended the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (VSA).
